Road Trip

Tamera and I cruised up in the Chevy Traverse to Pismo Beach yesterday to attend the 3 day Pismo Beach Classic. If you are in the area check it out www.thepismobeachclassic.com/
We started our road trip at 9am to avoid the LA traffic on the 101 freeway.

We stopped half way for lunch in Santa Barbara. This was Tamara's first time there. Here we ran into a few cars that were heading up to the same show. What can I say? We are magnets to collector cars.

AAHHH we made it!

This is the surprise we woke up to this morning on the way to the show. So HAPPY we have Hagerty Plus. Even with the flat tire, we still made it to the show on time.

Mopars, Mopars, and more Mopars!

I have had the pleasure of hanging out with some of the Indy Mopar Club members and have to say you won't be disappointed with the car show. Willys Overland Jeepster Meet and Heddon Museum

Seeing a Willys Jeepster is always exciting, but seeing 12 or 13 together is amazing! This weekend, Jeepster enthusiasts gathered to show their love for these great vehicles. Friday was the meet and greet followed by a tour to the Heddon Museum. Saturday, the Jeepsters caravaned down to the Studebaker Museum in South Bend for the day. The Heddon Museum is split into 2 sections. One side has a private car collection, and the other is made up of all the products the Heddon Factory once made. San Clemete Car Show

Sunday, June 14 the city of San Clemente hosted their annual car show. The roads were blocked off allowing space for over 300 cars. It brought out the sunny summer weather (finally) and people from LA and San Diego. San Clemente is a great community for a car show, I think the whole city came out to support it.

This picture was taken at 8am two hours before the show started. This is just the North half of the street.

I pretended to take this Ferrari out for a cruise. I am too scared to actually drive it!

The owner of this Corvair has been at every show in San Clemente. She was passing out beads and candy. She had a lot of fun and was my favorite for the day.

'09 British Car Day South

Location: Frank Liske Park Concord, NC
Time: June 14th from 8:00 to 3:30 pm

The day was filled with sunshine on the grassy venue of Frank Liske Park for the 28th Annual British Car Day South event!

The Carolinas Austin-Healey Club organized the event, which brought together over 230 British vintage vehicles including Jaguar's, Triumphs, MG's, Mini's, Austin Healey's and more.

The rolling hill side made this the perfect venue to host the 28th Annual event. The panoramic view of the British car culture was in full display with the British flag flying high in the wind. For me, it was great to view all the various makes and model British vehicles all in one venue! There was a remarkable 1948 Rolls Royce right handed driver with gorgeous wooden interior trim, and a highly decorated 1958 Jaguar XK 150 with over 30 First Place Awards and Best of Show throughout the country at the show event.

The show was energized by the smiles of enthusiasts catching a glimpse at each vintage vehicle. I couldn't imagine the level of difficulty to judge a wide selection of beautiful classics. If your into or curious about British classics then this is the show for you!

Abused and Battered Business Person Party

Saturday afternoon Robert Escalante owner of Custom Auto www.customautoservice.com/ hosted a party for the abused and battered business person to honor his clients, fellow car enthusiasts, and life long friends. Tamara, Adam and I were all there to represent Hagerty's new LA office. We had a great opportunity to meet a lot of current and potential Hagerty clients. It was a great party to end a car crazy day with.

Every guest left with their own bottle of pills aka M&Ms. We were advised to take 1 when excited.


The awards for the evening - a box from the OC food bank full of canned goods and toilet paper. He thinks of everything.

I took a cruise around the shop in a one of a kind motor cycle made for Mike Harrah. I think it was really made for me but don't tell Mike!

Coto de Caza Car Show

I love my life....Saturday morning after Cars and Coffee I drove through the grand gates of Coto de Caza to attend a new and exclusive car show with Adam Martin. It was a small show but it is rapidly growing. Saturday, July 11 Hagerty is donating the youth judging kits to pull in more families. If you are interested in attending just contact me. After the show I took pictures of my two favorite cars there.

A 1911 Auburn Model N 5 Passenger Touring that was invited to Pebble Beach a few years back. Does anyone remember seeing it there?

The last Saleen S7 made. The owner told me he has gone over 200 mph with this baby! You got to love our Toll Roads.
