On your way traveling down highway 9 you will witness a covering of classic cars throughout the lawn of the Sonic Drive-In.
The Memory Lane Cruisers Car Club hosts the cruise-in with a 50/50 drawing, great food and a live musical performance from Marty Vanderlip. Classic cars surround the Sonic Drive-In from front to back. The Vice President of the club, Tommy Harris, mentioned there were over 90 classic cars present and more drove through looking for a parking spot. The idea to block off an adjacent street was brought up in general conversation to accommodate the classics who missed the event.
For me, the atmosphere of the cruise-in was energetic, and listening to the live vocals while walking through the venue set the tone right away. It was amazing seeing the green lawn complete covered with classic cars.
