Hagerty Blog: Rock and Bowl!

Well, if you get tired of looking at cars, you can bowl. If you don't like to bowl, you can eat! The 11th Annual Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl Car Show, also known as the Rock and Bowl car show, was hosted this Saturday, August 1st. There were pleanty of beautiful show cars on display and tons of activities for everyone. Most everything was only 89 cents; hot dogs, bowling, shoe rental...... Mike Aulby was even present signing autographs. If you don't know who Mike Aulby is, check out this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Aulby. You're probably asking why this show was put on.... all proceeds of the show went to 'Support the Troops'. Every half an hour they played a tribute to a division of the armed forces. One of the most entertaining parts of the show was watching an 80ish year old man play the taps. I only wish I would have had my video camera with me because it was beautiful! Here's a great video I came across of a young lady playing the taps. It's worth watching, but please be warned, it might bring tears to your eyes!
